You have that right. Have to scare the new ones a bit.

Steve GG 03-07-2013 12:12 AM

It will keep them on their toes..

Zip 03-07-2013 12:15 AM

You would hope so.

So I'm trying to teach myself to play the guitar.

Steve GG 03-07-2013 12:23 AM

How is that going?

Zip 03-07-2013 12:27 AM

I can play a one string song now. Working on two strings. I took lessons when I was probably 9 or 10 and just love the sound of an acoustic guitar.

Steve GG 03-07-2013 12:30 AM

I like the sound of one as well. also like the sound of a harmonica.

Played with one of them at times but it was only playing, also enjoy some piano and sax.

Steve GG 03-07-2013 12:37 AM

I always wanted to play the sax. Thought about it when I joined the school band. But I thought it was too much money for my parents to spend. So I settled for a snare drum.

Both my daughters played sax in school. That's as far as it went though.

Steve GG 03-07-2013 12:46 AM

My brother wanted to play the trombone. That lasted about 2 months and that was not cheap. He was good at starting stuff and never finishing it.

Zip 03-07-2013 12:50 AM

Sounds like me. I played trumpet for a couple years in high school. It was just a rental though.

Steve GG 03-07-2013 12:52 AM

I stuck with my drums for 6 years..

Zip 03-07-2013 12:56 AM

That's pretty good. I bought myself another guitar yesterday. Mainly because my old one couldn't be fixed very well.

Steve GG 03-07-2013 12:59 AM

What was wrong with your old guitar??

Zip 03-07-2013 01:02 AM

The neck was kind of bowed. They tried to turn the truss rod to help straighten it out. It helped a bit but not enough. The strings are too far away from the frets more or less.
