broken coolant pipe how to fix 351c

Heres the pic of what happened. The pipe the heater hose slides on, broke off. I guess it was corroded real bad.

How in the world do I fix this? Ive never encountered this before. I dont even know what to look/ask for at the parts store.

I took a skinny chisel and worked it loose. Then used a long screwdriver as a prybar to pop it out. However my engine was in short block form, and mine wasnt sheered at the face like yours is. After it was out I tapped it for 3/8 NPT.

Oh....well damn. Didnt think about tapping it.

tmeyer.com carries those, look on their parts pages & see what it's called then check with your local parts stores. IIRC NAPA carries them.
