Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor

I had to remove the EBPS to work on my engine and found it was stopped up with carbon and the tubing was too. Truck seems to run fine currently. What problems will I see with preformance and can they be cleaned? Thanks

Waste Gate

I had someone suggest that I fix the waste gate so that it will not open.
Yes or No? What problem could it cause by doing this?

Thanks

Clean the tube and sensor. It effects a lot of things, including fuel mileage.

If you unplug the wastegate, you run the risk of over boosting. If you have gauges and can live by them, then you should be okay.

My ebp valve sometimes does not open after a cold start up if I don't let it warm up good when I step on the brakes to shift and go, any ideas on that?
On the 02 in sig, sorry.

JDW1. could be a sensor issue, but could also be a stuck valve internally too. I had a problem with a 7.3L E-350 van where the valve would stay closed no matter how much pedal I gave it. I found that the butterfly/ gate valve, whatever you want to call it, would mechanically get stuck internally. if you can get a view of the actuating rod (MUCH MUCH easier on a van!!!) turn the engine on when its cold and you should see the valve close, if you turn the truck off, it should lose its oil pressure signal and open up again. mine didn't...the rod just stayed closed till i pushed it back by hand. worth a check before digging into electrical issues, only takes a minute to check.
