05 f150 "jerking" in overdrive
I have an 05 f150 5.4 and when it shifts into overdrive the whole truck starts jerking, if i turn overdrive off it shifts and runs smooth through all other gears. When it does start jerking if i give it gas and speed up it stops and runs smooth, any idea what my problem could be?

spark plugs

That's exactly what mine was and since yours is a 5.4 better check into changing them if you plan to do it yourself. I bought the extractor first, then changed them and it took 6 hours and broke 2 of them. Pain in the butt to say the least.

I'd also get some Kroil to loosen up the plugs to reduce breaks! I've helped a couple people do theirs and we used a variety of products but it Kroil seemed to have the least amount of breaks! |
Could be a bad coil or coil boot. I'd change the plugs and replace the boots.

It might be the Coils or the spark plugs. When changing the spark plugs make sure they are not hot or they will break off, just had that happen to me.

I agree with everyone else most likely the spark plugs. Just went through this with my 08 and fixed the problem. Two plugs were badly worn at 95,000 mi. Luclily my truck has the SP509 plugs so it was not that hard to fix....

I would say it is not the tranny. Mine was doing the same thing and I originally thought tranny was going. Ran scan tool and showed no misfires. Change my plugs and two plug electordes were badly worn. This has fixed my issue if it doesn't fix yours check your coil on plugs.
