It rides quite nicely, with no undue rattles, groans, or creaks. The 302 is a bit underpowered from what I am used to, but I think the guys down in the forum for this truck can help me out with that.

The topper is coming off and a fuel transfer tank and tool box are going in. The truck is being trailer'd to North Dakota to be my right-of-way truck, out in the oil fields. :-jammin:-jammin

Yeah, I am amazed how clean it is!

Williston, eh? That's where the company I work for is based, and I am there a couple weekends a month. I spent the summer there in 2011, also.

We are living and working about three miles south of the Canadian border, up at Crosby/Ambrose.

yup!, thats funny i was back there in 2011 in july/august. my grandpa worked the whole area and parts of Montana as a roughneck back in the 60s. scored a job in Alaska and moved here in '72. we still have family back there and i try to get back every few years to visit.

alot of people i know up here are working down there also. good friend is running a man camp in Trenton they also have some other projects going on.

i was just in scottsdale in January for barrett jackson. i love the phx area:-jammin

Well dang, Russ. It seems we have more in common than just the King of SUVs. I am in Colorado Springs right this moment, but we are about to load the truck on the trailer to start the journey back to Williston tonight.

I have been envious of you up there in Alaska for as long as I can recall seeing your posts! :P

it really is a small world! we were on a shuttle bus going to barrett jackson and started talking to a couple from rapid city. turns out there next door neighbors were kids(now in there 60s) my grandma used to baby sit on the farm right on the river in Mckenzie county. really funny how that works eh?

you be safe! lots of crazy stuff going on around there as your well aware! lol

i've been born and raised in AK and love it, truly is the last frontier.

Nice looking truck. I did a double take, I had it pegged as a 250/350.

Immortal_Ben 02-11-2013 05:56 PM

I thought the guy had his Craigslist ad wrong when it said F150!

Today's update is that my brother loved this truck so much he decided to swap me his 97 F250 on an (I think) 8 inch lift. I will try to get some pics of the two trucks together tomorrow and post them up in the evening.

Well, I only managed to get two shots of the second truck, and one of them is blurry. Was pretty busy today, but maybe tomorrow will see enough time to stage a good photo opportunity
