Who ordered their truck new?
 

Who ordered their truck and how long did it take from time of order until time of delivery. I'm only going on week five now and the ordering dealer says 8-12 weeks. Just curious I'm getting very antsy.:-drink

It took me about 9 wks to get mine! Ya the waiting time really stinks, I went from a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 to 2011 Ford F250 so a 10 yr old truck makes a big difference only thing I would have changed is I would have gotten the 4:30 gears. Enjoy your new ride when you get it!

with the exception of the current Mark LT (which was found in dealer inventory search- exactly what i wanted) we have always ordered every vehicle....
my 1990 F150 was about 3 months, my wifes 1997 Cougar Sport was 6 weeks IIR.....my dad's 1985 F150.....that was 3 months, then another month in the body shop for repairs!

3 months! Wow that's crazy!!! I'm hoping they are closer to their 8 week guess than the twelve week guess. I really should have posted this in the super duty forum.

I ordered my 2013 F350 4x4 on January 11th. Have verified the truck is to be built next Monday February the 4th with an ETA the following Monday the 11th. Thats about 5 weeks. If I see it the week of the 11th that will be great.

And 5 weeks? I haven't heard from my ordering dealer since I ordered it. I may have to make a phone call.

Mine took just over 2 months I believe. I can't remember the exact dates, but it was a while. You should've at least had a VIN by now. If you don't, ask your dealer what the hold up is, make sure he put your order in with at least a priority of 10 (anywhere between 10-1 is good). They may not have allocation, which at that point, you could be waiting a while longer....

I ordered my 04 in late October and took delivery on 12/24/03. It was a very Merry Christmas that year.

My 2013 F350 Lariat 4x4 6.2L took about seven weeks.

When I ordered my 2008 F450 build and ship dates of a Monday meant that it was scheduled to be built and shipped during the respective weeks, not on that exact date. Could have changed by now though.

Go to the diesel stop site and look under the new ordering forum. Look for posts from Crystal. She is with Ford customer service. Send her a personal email and she will send you your VIN number and tell you what stage your truck is at. If there is no VIN number assigned she will make it happen. My dealer screwed up and assigned the same order number to two different truck orders. I couldn't figure out why it was taking so long. Crystal straighted it out in a couple hours, got a VIN number for my 2013 f-350 and told me where it was as it traveled from Kentucky to New Mexico.

Good deal im going to head over that way now and take a look for her. I ordered the truck the saturday after christmas and havent heard a thing from the dealer since, Ii've been somewhat unhappy with my purchasing experience from the get go.

I ordered my 2013 F250 on nov 26 and it arrived at the dealer on Jan 28.
