Audio uprades for 96 F350 crew cab
so when i bought my truck the rear speakers were blown (These are supposed to be the subs right?) n i want to replace them with something just a little bit bigger cuz of how loud my exhaust is. not looking to break glass just looking to get a little extra without having to get subs sitting on the backseat, i bought a crew cab to use all the seats afterall. are there bigger subs that will fit in the factory door pannel? what are the measurements? and would i be able to run an amp to them as well? new to the whole audio thing. thanks

Your rear speakers are just 6x8 door speakers. Add a pair of 10s or 12s with a good set of front components & you will have a system to enjoy. I seldom upgrade my rear speakers. I may in my F250 crew just for rear passengers. . Get a 4x100 amp, a good headunit & good front speakers with a set of subs. Mono 2 channels for the subs & drive the front ones with the other 2 channels. You can expand if you want but this will be a good start.

The subs can go behind the back seat...at least that's my plan.I haven't measured it but it looks like plenty of room..

the rear speakers are in the pillar and not the door.still 6x8? I haven't pulled the grilles but assumed...6 1/2 doors also correct?

No the front doors are 5.25 round speakers. I had no trouble putting a 6.5 in the same spot.

5.25? Wow,that's goofy.cool,thanks.are 6.5 better?
