2.0 Ecoboost history...
Just bought a 13 escape titanium before Christmas. Love the car and the 2.0! Just curious as to how long the 2.0 (and the six speed auto for that matter) has been out? In what other vehicles, and how are they holding up (as far as reliability)?

The 2.0L is also used in the Explorer, Focus Titanium, Fusion Titanium and possibly the Edge.
I haven't read anyting real serious about the 2.0L, howerver, it may have some teething issues as the 3.5L did. The F-150, Taurus SHO and Flex are all using the 3.5L with the Expedition and T-series Van coming on line soon. I also bnelieve that the sportier edition of the Explorer may be using the 3.5L. |
2013 excape 2.0L EB - 6700 miles - no complaints - 15 mile commute on tollway avg 23 mpg 89 octane gas. quiet for a 4 cyl car. I did change tires from expensive conti 235/45 r19 to cheaper wider 245/40 r19. Oh by the way my short wife has no rouble geeting in it LOL.

no issues with rubbing ect with the wider tires? Since I work for Michelin, and get free tires, I'm going with a slightly taller size when my conti's wear out. Which with my experience with continentals, won't be far off...
