Window Weaterstripping

Has anyone found a good generic substitute for the window (not door) weatherstripping on these trucks? I know you can get the cut to length stuff from LMC and others, but I was hoping to go to the parts store and grab a roll.

Also, am I correct in my thinking that it's a single piece that goes from the bottom of one track, up and over the window, to the bottom of the other track? About 8 feet long? I'm imagining it's a "U" shaped cross-section about 1/2" wide, 1/2" tall and about 1/8" channel about 1/4" deep.

It's one piece from the bottom rear side of the glass run to the top front side, ending at the divider bar. Haven't seen any generic stuff but the suppliers get it somewhere to make up the kits.

By the way, your demension line weights should not be as heavy as your object line weights! :D

5 years of engineering school baby!

I didn't quite follow your explanation, are you saying it's two pieces per side? Maybe I'll take some measurements and go to the parts store.

Yes, it is two pieces. I don't think you can make that bend on top front with one piece. I've used some generic welting in the past, shredded after a couple of years! Had good luck with steele rubber co. products.

Good point! Thanks!

Yeah, like iggy, said it's not just one piece that goes around the whole window. I guess my explaination was a little "scketchy", as well.
