73-79 disk brake swap on 67

I'm picking up 8 lug front disk setup from a 73-79 and a dana 60 8 lug from a 72 f250 this weekend and my question is, what all do it need from the front? It's getting pulled from a junkyard so I'd like to get everything nut, bolt, part that I need.

And my truck has power brakes already.

67 f100 to 73-79 f250 disk 8 lug brakes

Also for rear, do I need the ebrake cables?

Forgot to say, it's all 2wd stuff..

Don't forget the master cylinder and the proportioning valve as they are different from the drum brake system. E-brake cables would be nice it they work and would help speed up the conversion.

I really need the master cylinder? What's different? I have power brakes already

They are different from drum to disc. Also, get the ends of the brake lines at the proportioning vavle, you might have to cut off the old ones and re-flare them. I did when I put the disc brakes from an F-150 on a 72 F-100.
I just changed the whole I-beams, pretty easy. You might as well put new bushings in the radius arms while your at it.

Be aware that 1973/79 F250 2WD's have two different types of disc brakes, as it depends on the GVW.

Some have single piston caliper disc brakes, some have dual piston caliper disc brakes.

The spindles, calipers (obviously), proportioning valves and etc are specific to one or the other.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some 1966/72 F250's have 12 1/8" x 2" front/rear drum brakes, some have 12" x 2 1/2" front/rear drum brakes as it depends on the GVW.

If the 1966/72 F250 is a Camper Special, or has a GVW of 7,500 or 8,100 lbs: 12" x 2 1/2" front/rear drum brakes.

If the 1968/72 F250 2WD has optional dual piston caliper disc brakes, the rear drum brakes are 12" x 2 1/2."

Steering link

I believe 67 F100 center links are about 1" or more shorter than the 73 -79s. Important to have correct length unless you want to shorten your turning radius ability

The rear end is coming off a camper special

Front is dual piston.

So I will need the master cylinder, center link, I beams, pro. valve, lines, and hardware?

The only dual piston I had was a 72. I found those brakes problematic. They ate pads like crazy and the slider pins tend to crud up and not slide good. Even with wagner's best pads and all new mounting hardware, I only got about 15,000 miles before the sliders were hanging up and the pads were wearing un even. They did stop good though.

That pretty much sums it up. You may or may not be able to re use the u bolts from the rear axle. They usually are rusted in place and have to be cut off the donor.
