97 F150 Drivers Side Grinding

First off, 97 F150, 200,000mi, 4.6, 5-speed, manual t-case, 4x4

Lately my drivers side wheel has been grinding while in 4x4 and turning to the left. It's an audible grinding, and if i turn hard enough while going slow, the truck somewhat lurches forward.

Also, there is play in the wheel when i jack the truck up and shake the drivers side vertically. I have already replaced the hub assembly, and there is still a little bit of play.

I'm thinking that I either got a bad hub assembly, or possibly could be the CV.

If anyone could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

With some help you should be able to see what the issue is when the wheel is moved.
With a bad bearing pack the disc will move independently of the caliper and wear on the pads.
Good luck.
