Throttle Body!

ok, im in search of a new throttle body. Get more air in the system and maybe pick up the responsiveness. Does anyone know of something like a big bore throttle body? And, secondly, throttle body spacers? yay or nay? they say torque curve and adds a small amount of power...anyone have good or bad experience?

A simple quick search will net you the answers you seek. Throttle body spacers on this vintage truck are worthless

Larger throttle bodies on a stock truck will net you zero as well.

I'll agree with what he said.

A larger throttle body does allow more airflow, but the problem with this vintage truck is getting air out. The factory y-pipe and converter setup is an effective bottleneck/cork. Start there, then the next step would be headers, then the cam, then.....$$$$$

Yeah... wimpy factory exhaust gotta go first. Including the factory iron manifolds. Then cam, heads, intake, THEN you can worry bout what kind of throttle body/MAF/filters your new setup breathes thru.

yep, my whole exhaust is getting torn out. Soon, dont know when but, its all goin haha
