local pull a parts
Wondering if you fellow Michiganders could help me locate a few good pull-a-parts. I live in the milan/ann arbor/ypsilanti area.

Having an older truck, it might just be a paininthe arse, I can say that Cooks has done me well, but they are a 2 hour drive for me.
Cooks Auot Parts, Inc. ask for Kip. |
Parts Galore I think has a location on the south side off telegraph. Cheap and parts you knowgo for a mint on ebay are facts lost on the checkout girls. But there trucks are usually picked over. I usually go to howell-Regals is my favorite. Miecals is other one but negotiate prices before you pull anything. They will stick it in ya if you don't.
Regals number is 517-548-0727. 945 Lucy Rd. 48843 Miecals is on block west on grand river-You will see the back of their yard on Lucy-I don't have their number handy right this second through. |

Well thanks for the replies. If I ever get some time off work I may stop up at one of those places.

We, as kids, used Sotilles in Monroe, Telegraph Rd, east side, just north of Albain Rd. Or Hull Road junkyard on Hull Rd, just over the tracks. The names may have changed in the last few years, I haven't lived down there for some time, just an idea.:-drink

Gene's Auto Parts here in TC. Headed there this morning for a little sight seeing.

Yeah it has. They have at least tripled the size of the lot this past year. I also heard they bought out a yard in Whitmore Lake but have not been down to it yet.

In Waterford there is Acres at the corner of Williams/Dixie. Simpson's junkyard is off Dixie (2515 Williams Dr.). Bridgelake junkyard is just north of the 75 junction in Clarkston on Dixie. Then I believe Acme is... east? of Telegraph on Dixie.
Simpson's is usually reasonably priced, Acre's thinks they are sitting on a gold mine (and don't have a huge variety of Fords sadly.) Personally I have never been to Acme and Bridgelake is my lasts resort and I've only been there once, but they hard some nice old Fords. (late 70s-2000s) |
