Warning on E-15 gasoline.

Pass this on to family and friends, may save them a lot of money.

Good advice! I might expand that statement to any internal combustion engine you care about. Biggest problem I've been running into is that these ethanol blends get skunky faster than Bush Light.

I hear ya. New gas SUCKS. We work on these MG's here at the shop and they hate the new gas. It's good business though, as we're rebuilding a LOT of carbs. Easy on the Busch Light there Chad - when you're low and there's nothing else left, you better start being nice to me! :-drink

Figured that would get a response:D. I'm not too proud to drink Bush light! At least MGs don't have check engine lights that that turn on cause a misfire was detected 4 secs after start up but otherwise run fine..... so frustrating:-arrgh

I get better mpg when adding acetone when filling up. Just a few oz. per fill up got me better mpg.

John,

Seems to the there was a thread a while back about acetone, there is an issue with drying out gaskets and seals longterm. I dont recall if that was a fact, or a feeling, but something to look into.

On a fuel injected motor? Buddy of mine did extensive testing of that method on his hour drive to work everyday-could not see a difference. Carb I could see being fooled. Didn't mythbusters do an episode on this as well?

love the fact that the report actually pointed out the reduced efficiency among other downfalls of ethonal too. surprised the mainstream media let that happen. :-roll

I have run it in efi 93&95 f-150 i-6, 97 f150 4.6l, and my 00 f350 v-10.
