Thats cool Cory. For the most part I have lucked out with the trucks I have bought. My 85 had the 4.9 under the hood. If I could I wouldnt mind getting another truck with the 4.9 in it.

Yeah I liked trhe torque it made. Wasnt the fastest thing out there but it would get the job done when the others couldnt.

That it was Ken. Never let me down. Did have a c clip in the tranny break once. Had to limp the truck home and call for a tow truck the next day to get it to the tranny shop. That was fun. EVery time I stopped I would have to shut the truck off to get it to go into first gear.

I took one in trade last fall...338K on the motor...customer claimed it had never been apart. It was a standard shift...he said on the 2nd clutch. |
