Looking great! Keep moving forward, you will have a beautiful rig when you are done.

Jolly Roger Joe 04-09-2015 05:08 PM

That's an ingenious hoist! :-jammin

Looking good. :-drink

bobbytnm 04-10-2015 09:25 PM

Nicely done Jim!
That hoist is working out well for you.

Its nice that your truck is white. I think white paint is half the cost of red. The hard lines look really good

Thanks Harrier , Jolly roger and Bobby.

going out in a little while to go after the snubbers and dog bones. The hoist did work well.. The beam will stay in the attic over the shop for any future use.

Cab mounted, ladders mounted

Finished up the cab this weekend and mounted the ladders, seat, temporary gauges and starting wiring, steering wheel , Had to modify the snubbers a little. New ones were a little deeper then the old. Finished off after modifications with a little pressure from a bottle jack and a narrow top. Compressed snubber just enough.

Jolly Roger Joe 04-12-2015 04:19 PM

I really like the look... white truck with black dash! :-jammin

Does the truck fit in the garage with the cab mounted?

JimG1098 04-12-2015 04:37 PM

Thanks Jolly roger. Going to have black fenders also. Period for the day.

bobbytnm 04-12-2015 05:13 PM

I'm glad you were able to get the snubbers in place.

That is truly a stunning truck! Its really coming together nicely

Thanks Bobby. I thought this weekend would be a ride around the block but I had a little air in my brake lines. When we were setting the cab, I had to depress the brake peddle to get the cab past both peddles. I had to let some fluid out of the front but must have introduced some air into the system. Bled them twice from rear to front but still not very good brakes. They were perfect before I started, so I will keep at it. Next week end. That will be my task.

Harrier 04-12-2015 06:15 PM

Wow! She is looking more and more beautiful. Great work.

JimG1098 04-12-2015 06:19 PM

Thanks Harrier

Original cloth wiring was naturally a mess.

Hi all,

Worked on my Unity spot lights . Took them all apart, cleaned them up and will install all new wires and switch. These mount on the rear and will be come by back up lights. Switch will be on the dash.

bobbytnm 04-28-2015 06:21 PM

You're making some great progress!

It shouldn't be too long until you are ready to drive that beauty around the block.

Looking good Jim!! Unity is still in business if you need any parts. I bought some mounts from them for my truck.
