Is there any reason I cannot use this carb off a 235 Chevy? I have several carbs off Chevy stovebolts, and this one was just rebuilt. It fits and the linkage lines up.

Why not? I actually thing the rochesters are a better carb and simpler to work on. Too bad you don't have a little newer one with a different top so you don't need the old clamp on type air cleaner.

Well, it will mix air and gas and dump it into the engine if you don't care that it came off a C***y! Nothing wrong in using what you have already got though!

If N U was to put 2 of M on it, I would tend to support your plans. I'm leaning toware " it's ugly" as an the response to just 1 of M. But then the whole top of the motor looks tooooo ugly!
