VIN Locations on 1984 Bronco

I need to know where to look for the hidden VINs on my son's 1984 Bronco. It was stolen, then recovered burned out, and the usual ones are toast. Cannot close out the "case" with the arson investigator because they cannot prove who owns it. The clock is running on the impound!!!

So the aluminum tag on the dash board melted away? :( Any insurance or police investigator ought to have access to the hidden locations.

The Bronco was recovered, completely burned, in a cow pasture. The truck is "impounded" pending identification, since the fire investigator is waiting for Ford Motor Co to give him the VIN locations. In the meantime, the meter is running at the impound at the rate of $9.00 per day. If I can get the info for the investigator, I can stop the "bleeding" so to speak. This vehicle was not insured.

Well, I've stripped mine down about as far as it can be, and I never noticed any obscure VIN stampings. You could contact Ford and get a free build sheet that might help ID it, but that can take a couple of weeks to arrive unless you talk to them about expediting it.
