Clutch line

I forgot the most important part in my last post. Where can I find the hose that goes from the master clutch to the slave. I have check many parts catalogs and have not found one. It there a name other then clutch line that I am missing?

Scott; first off welcome to the orphanage!
If you have the old one you can take it to NAPA or some other parts dealer and find a close match. This hydraulic line has been discussed here before and at that time there was only 3 NOS line found and no one remakes a direct replacement. Some have replaced theirs with hard line adding a couple loops for flexibility.
Good luck in your quest.

Bill, if thats the same one you sent me, it was never found. I spoke with the parts dept. several times. They showed it in the computer, but could not find it on any shelves.

NumberDummy 11-21-2012 06:40 AM

There were three available at one time, now there's only in AR / Dealers webpage updated 11/14/2012.

If this dealer couldn't find it, I wish you had let me know. I would have called, asked them to remove it from Ford Dealer Parts Locator System.

Several other members have contacted me, saying if OP didn't respond within a certain length of time, would I pass along the info.

rocdril 11-21-2012 06:47 AM

Yes, thats the one. I guess I should have let you know, to be honest I have been hoping for a call. They said if they found it I would be notified.

I made mine from off the shelf NAPA brake lines and a Double female brake hose that they had to order. I think the hose was about 9" long. Looks pretty much like the original, works perfectly.

Do you have a local place that can make one? I'm in the same predicament. But I have a place nearby called , House of Hose that can make one, but I have an original for them to work with

chetspencer 12-01-2012 09:57 PM

I just bought parts from NAPA like Mr. Sisson above. Came out perfect. Better than original actually, as I can replace just the hose if it ever fails. I used DOT5 btw and it's working great.

Double female hose sounds like a winner. I may make a bracket on the firewall to mount the union.
