New to the forum this is the second truck i've ever owned. I have always loved these body styles. Bought it for 1250 has a 390 with an auto c10. Plans are to lower it rebuild the motor and make it into a show/rave truck.

Welcome to FTE

On sale day, 360 engines magically become 390's. Measure the stroke to verify.

360: 3.50" / 390: 3.78"

What engine did it have originally? The engine code is the 4th digit of the VIN.

1968/72 F250: A = 240 1V I-6 / B = 300 1V I-6 / H = 390 2V (2WD, not available with 4WD) / Y = 360 2V

A/T with 360/390's is a C6 (17 trans pan bolt holes).

A/T with 240/300 I-6's is a C4 (11 trans pan bolt holes).
