Odd steering noise

I have a 1992 F150 XLT that has steered really sloppily in the past, and I recently had the tie rods replaced. Anyways, the thing that gets me is now whenever I turn the steering wheel more than a quarter of the way in either direction, it makes a squeaking/squealing noise. It sounds sorta like I'm thinking the steering wheel is just squeaky and some WD40 will take care of it? Any help greatly appreciated! :-drink

My truck makes the exact same noise, at first i thought it was due to lack of power steering fluid, but then i added and still made the noise. Then i posted a thread similar to this and was told by several viewers that its probably the radius arms

I could see how that would work, the ones on mine I think are originals and pretty old. I just had the bushings replaced too, not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Sadly the Only way to get rid of that noise is new radius arms

I have that feeling too. As of now the noise sometimes is there, sometimes is not. I figure I'll bite the bullet and get some new ones when I can't stand the noise anymore. These old trucks are reliable but they sure do require a fair deal of maintenance to be kept in top condition. Thank you for the enlightenment :-drink
