Tuner/Exhaust question

Just purchased a H&S Tuner(XRT Pro) and FloPro 5" DP back exhaust. Getting the exhaust installed next weekend. It's a 20 mile drive to the shop where I am having the exhaust installed. Can I go ahead and unplug the 3 exhaust sensors, install the H&S tuner w/DPF removed and drive the 20 miles to the shop? or should I wait until the new exhaust is installed and do the tune then? I guess my question is: will it hurt anything to drive a few miles with the DPF present but sensors unplugged and the tuner installed? Thanks for any help or advice. Truck is an 08 F250, 6.4L CC.

Most new tuners bypass the sensors so you shouldn't even need to unplug them. I wouldn't run any high HP tunes until the DPF is gone but you should easily be able to make the short drive with it tuned and the factory exhaust installed. Just make sure your tuner does in fact bypass the sensors or it could throw your truck into limp mode. Cheers

when you install the tuner it will ask if dpf present or not. you can answer yes, then when you get your exhaust in go back and install with dpf removed. very simple.

Don't waste your time. No matter which you choose to do, you'll still goibg to be re-flashing your PCM at the shop immediately after the exhaust is installed.
