BRONCOS SUCK
If you donʻt own one.
I need a mountain of cash to finish my Bronco project. I need at least 4 months of nothing but working on the Bronco to get it where I want it to be. It does get to be a chore keeping all the trucks in running order and oil changes between every car and truck seems never ending. BUT Being a FORD TRUCK ENTHUSIAST (NUT)is a part the "good life". BRONCO OWNERS UNITE! |
Interesting thread. :)

AMEN! At this point, all I need to figure out is how to manufacture about 16 more hours per day and I should be done with mine by 2030.
|
My hands are aching (almost Carpal Tunnel Syndrome) and I haven't been able to work on mine, it really hurts me being unable to do it, yet I need the rest... But it has been a faithful companion and haven't given me any trouble for months.

I know the pain. The list for TGM is ever changing. So much i want to do and more that i need to do, but i don't have the money for it. And if i get a job to acquire the money for the work, i lose the time to do so... It sucks. If i were to have a nice big shop with a full tool kit and a car lift i might be better off. Outside in the dark cold rain is not my idea of fun work.

I haven't driven mine since January, it is in about 100 pieces, and I am about $7500 from the finish point!!!
|
Only 100 pieces? Does that include lug nuts :p
|
Just got another step completed on mine. Painted !

That paint looks great!
Yeah it seems the more I get done with my Bronco, the more I need (want) to do! My entire interior has been redone, exhaust, paint, etc.. I think I moved into the engine stage... but I don't have the time or money to work on that yet :(. Plus I would probably need another vehicle if I were to try and swap cams or heads.. I think that would leave my Bronco sitting for a while. |
I could spend 50,000 more dollars on my FSB easily.

50K? The wife says I could easily spend 100K on our 96.:) |
There is so much to do on my FSB.
SAS Lockers 35s Stereo interior Home built bumpers the list goes on. With the enormous amounts of new products out there one could build an awesome Bronco. Until you own a Bronco you will never know the feeling. Bronco fever is real and very contagious. |
I would buy a used Ferrari for 50k, but would never spend that on my Bronco.

I could spend anywhere from 50k to 150k on TGM. I wouldn't want a Ferrari or Lamborghini mainly cause maintenance can't be done your self and the clutch for a manual would be incredibly stiff. I think having a big ugly beautiful 78 green & black bronco attracts the correct attention. It would be easy to use up 150k having the entire thing restored from the tire stem caps to the antenna.
OldGrey, that paint looks good. Was it done in a paint shop or at home? |
I'll let you know how stiff the clutch is when I get my settlement :)
