Hmm, thats weird. Thought they would be the same as a 360 or 390.. Pull them out and bring them in.. Ask for a parts out of a ford vehicle with a 360 or 390 and see if they're a match..

The reason these autoparts stores have no clue is that most older BIG truck parts are not listed on their computers. Inexperienced minimum wage parts clucks is another reason.

The thing is: You have to get the parts clucks to actually look in their paper parts catalogs, usually stashed under the counter.

B8Q-12171-A .. Point Set (Motorcraft DP-12) / Available from Ford and a gazillion autoparts stores.

SAME: ALL 1958/73 FoMoCo vehicle V8 engines (except hipo's with dual point dizzies) / SAME: ALL 1974/75 FoMoCo vehicle V8 engines without DuraSpark electronic ignition.

Ditto: Condenser, rotor, dizzy cap.

Waltz into one a these autoparts stores, ask for points for a 1958 Edsel Ranger w/a 361. Parts cluck will look at you like you just landed from outer space.

This is not a 361 FT engine, it's a slight overbore of the 352, only offered for Edsel's, only available in 1958. The points are B8Q-12171-A :-missingt
