35" Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's Fitted to my stock 2004 (Pics)

Hi,

I've got a 2004 F250 Harley Davidson Edition. This has 18" rims.

I've just got some 305/70R18 Mickey Thomspon Baja MTZ's for it.

Big 18" tyres here are a problem so i ended up buying these second hand, but still in good condition. Had it been my choice i would have got the all terrains.

Noise on the motorway is not bad at all which i was relieved about :)

We tied back the inner arch a little bit and had to trim a tiny bit off the front bumper (this is the additional harley davidson part i think).

Makes the truck look a lot better i think.

Looks good Gordon, I like it! I have to say though, you're not fooling anybody, these trucks are heavy and not great for muddy off roading :). I bet it's a lot of fun tooling around the UK in such a big truck!

We compete in offroading competitions using a landrover buggy. This is my tow truck. At least now i won't get stuck on the sites the we have to camp on :)

Take a few pics of what you trimmed and tied up when you get a chance. Interested to see how close the fit is. Any rubbing on the radius arms?

his rig is an '04.

i had a set of 35" MTZ's on the truck in my sig pic... had just turned 70,000 miles on the set when i blew one out (hit something). all were still above the wear bars. great tires!

i just picked up a used set for my new (to me) 04... just have to get the wheels they're on powdercoated first.

I beg to differ in certain occasions. Lol. Mine does great in ga clay. I can sink to the harder stuff at the bottom, and have enough power to spin all 4 tires to clean the tread. I am officially the rescue truck around here.

Looks great. I just downsized from 37's on 20s, to BF Goodrich ATs in 35x12.50r17... The improvement in ride is 100%. Went from wobbly goblin to a stock ride despite the 6'' Skyjacker lift. The idiot who had the truck before me had 2'' spacers all around!

... my first post. I have read thru the first 20 pages (so far) on the 6.0 pages and am learning so much here. Thank you guys. I'm not a mechanic by any stretch. I'm a USAF pilot who is pretty good at breaking equipment (jets). But I am learning from you guys. Thank You.

Looks great Zimsoundz!! I too would like to see what trimming you had to do to make them fit. I'm gonna need new tires by spring and was thinking about 305/70's also but my rims are 17" so they would be closer to a 33" tire. Hopefully I won't need to trim anything?

I'll be home from work next week so can post pictures then.
