Looking at a '07 Expy EL XLT Advise me plz
 

2007 4x4 92k for $14k. Seats 8 and from the pics it looks to be in great shape. Wondered if you guys could chime in and give me some pointers on what to look for. Nickel and Dime items, economy, major malfunctions, pros and cons as compared to say a Suburban and any other advise is greatly appreciated. Love this forum and all of the shared knowledge!

Have an 07 El Limited. Pirellies are trash at 45K, replaced with Pirellies because they have a great ride, could not pass that up. Look at rear hatch, had mine repainted by dealer at 31K, bubbles in the original paint. Recall on door handle springs should have been completed by now. Rear pads now a days go before fronts (48K). Complained to dealer, they stated they learned from the years of disk brakes and the master cylinder is proportioned to prevent fronts from going at 25K. Right now 68k and my fronts are still aok. The EL w/seats down can hold a 4x8 sheet of plywood or drywall, with rear hatch closed. Leg room is the reason I bought this monster, I am 6'6 and can have my legs completely straight, with cruise controll on. MPG's do suck 15 city and 19 with six adults and some luggage. Any speeds over 70MPH and the MPG's drop to 17 MPG highway. Also be aware of FMC being cheap, I have the 18" tires. BUT THE SPARE IS A 17" although full size. If you see the chrome clad wheels, they are just hub caps, the center blue oval, if it seems fadded blue, they call it delaminating but it fails and I had FMC replace all four TWICE.
