part fitment

hello all My Name is Matt and I am new to the 1980-86 F series trucks and have some questions to first of all I would like to know if parts from an f 250 will fit on the f350 same year mine is a 1986 f350 crew cab long bed 4x4 with the 460/ 7.5
big boy.

It depends on the parts matt what parts are you exchanging what do you know you won't need. Whats wrong that you will be changing. Most parts will fit but thier are some that won't. The 460s are very easy to work on and most parts through out the years will fit.

thanks for the info the reason why I was asking is because LMC Truck only goes up to the f250 and just in general my truck is old and am wanting to get it back up to 100% again

Then ya most of the parts for an F250 from LMC truck will work. Just ask me and I can tell you if it will work or not but most do. I know how you feel we have a 89 f350 and I have to know weather the F250 parts fit or not.

If your asking about body parts they are the same. 4x2 vs 4x4 when it comes to converting you have differences. I forget if the frames were exactly the same or if it was just drilling holes. There is a difference in the F250 4x4 used a twin I Beam 4x4 the F350 4x4 used a Dana 60 straight axle. The 86 F250 4x4 used a plastic radiator & I believe the F350 4x4 used a brass radiator.

no most of the parts I am looking at are interior parts such as dash parts weather striping

Redneckfordf2502002 09-08-2012 12:24 PM

most of those will fit medic0315. I think your biggest problem though is being an 86 you aren't going to be able to get parts for the back seat portion of your truck. Since I see your username and saw you said you are in Snowflake you can get alot of parts for interior at a good price at Panco Villa Scrapping yard. If I need parts I usually go see him but as of now he doesn't have any crew cabs in thier. I think he has a couple F250 82-86 body style over thier but if you are looking for captain chairs for the front they are already out curtosy of redneckfordf2502002. But ya check with him on a lot of parts and then maybe we can help you find others.
