We finalized the plans today for Phil's service. The service is going to be September 8th at the Mill Creek Fire Company Hall. There is going to be a visitation hour followed by a small service and lunch. I don't have to exact times yet. But will let you know. If possible when you find out, can you let me know approximately how many will be coming? We are trying to figure out a count. The Mill Creek Fire Hall is on Kirkwood Highway. Philip S. Vitalo
Age 51 of Stanton, Delaware, died peacefully on August 25, 2012 at his home. Phillip was a heavy equipment operator for most of his life. He was instrumental in helping to form the Delaware Chapter of Ford Truck Enthusiasts. He served as the New Castle County board member for the DE Chapter of FTE from 2006 to 2012 and was awarded DE Chapter Member of the Year for 2009 for his dedication to the Chapter. Phil's truck was awarded FTE's Ride of the Week in February 2007. His truck was selected from the Ford Truck Enthusiasts membership of over 600,000 members, and was the first truck from Delaware to receive the award. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy K. Schwalbauch. He was a loving father to Phillip S. Vitalo ll and Dawn N. Vitalo; beloved boyfriend of Jane West; dear son of Phillip Vitalo (Patricia); brother of Vicky Piane (Bob); and uncle to Bobby Piane III and Sophia Piane. He was also survived by the Conaway and Schwalbauch families, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday Sept. 8, 2012 at 12:30 pm at Mill Creek Fire Hall 3900 Kirkwood Highway, Marshallton, DE l9808. Visitation from 11:00 to 12:30. A party to celebrate Phillip's life will follow the service.
