New '61 in the works tips?

First I must say great site with lots of info. I am new to the site and just picked up my first unibody. Its a '61, and i must say in great condition. Of course its someones project that couldn't make it all the way. I need some info on the truck from stock ie, engines that came in them, transmissions, and so on. Must say the guy did somethings good but just cheeped out on other things. It currently has a 5.0HO with a T-5 and a ford 9in in the back, not too much to my liking but it runs like a top and I can drive it any were. I have seen there is some places to look up the vin because I only have a little bit it of, maybe someone can tell me what im missing i have 'F10C152217' as the vin right now. Also what kind of power have you guys been putting into these? I have read alot about just wrapping the truck right up with too much power? Thank you for any info and im sure i will spend many hours reading up on this great site! :-X22

Serial number plate is riveted to the inside of the glove box for 61. This will tell you the basics. There is 2 frame stamped vins one near the passenger shock tower on the rail top and a second under the cab floor on the top rail passenger side

F10 =F100
C =292 MD V8
Missing Letter for assembly plant
152217 = March of 62 production
