I know it's against the rules of year models but will it work?
 

So I have started taking my 59 F100 apart. While removing the grill I noticed a small crack. It got bigger. Finally a chunk of bondo fell of about the size of my hand. My thoughts are well that sucks. I look at the side where it fell off and it got worse. Instead of the PO trying to work the metal back out they drilled about 9 holes in the side of the grill to work with the bondo. So this grill is shot unless I want to rebondo it. Looking on every site I can find a replacement grill for every year but 57-60 ( I know orphan years). Looked on ebay no luck I did find a 56 near bu for $50. Would it be possible to make that one work? Or does anyone know where to find a 57-60 grill? I am fine with a painted one.

There's a decent chrome one in the junk yard here(60), and I have a 60 front clip for sale. There's a 58 in that same yard. I think it's aluminum.

1957 grilles have single headlamps, 1958/60's have dual headlamps.

1958 grille is different from 1959. 1960 is different again and is two piece, upper chrome steel & lower anodized aluminum.

Got a painted '59 at a salvage here in North Texas. I've about getting the whole pickup for donor parts, but I need a longed and it os short.

Without seeing it, I think it could be fixed. I've hammer welded shut a lot of holes over the years. Just be careful not to stretch the metal too much and start slowly hammer and dollying the dent out. To me the sheet metal work is some of the most relaxing and rewarding work in the hobby.

I'm needing some parts in North Texas, where are you located?

I'm about 20 miles east of Wichita Falls. The donor truck is at a salvage yard in Henrietta. I haven't bought it yet, have to get my daily driver up to snuff before I can spend any more time on the '59.

What are you needing? I can probably tell you if the donor has it or not, and what kind of condition it is in.
