78 f250 printed circuit board
I need a new printed circuit board, i've ordered two online and both have been wrong...help
|
What are you dealing with? More info needed. Year, with or without gauges.
|
its a 1978 F250 ranger explorer. full gauge cluster. speedo, fuel level, volt, engine temp, I have no gauge lights, and the only gauges that work is the volt gauge and the speedo....
|
If your ammeter is working, that's a small miracle in itself, These were notorious for not working, even when new.
What's the problem with the two replacement PC boards? Why won't they fit? |
If you want genuine NOS Ford
Circuit assy, instrument cluster printed D6TZ-10K843-B Fits: 76-up E100-350, F100-350 used on instrument cluster w/ ammeter and oil pressure gauges marked D6TF-10C956-BA Tison Motor Co., Estill, SC has 1 (803) 625-2551 Green Sales, Cincinnati, OH has 6 (800) 543-4959 Haven Ford, Haven KS has 1 (620) 465-2252 |
If you get the cluster used, get one out of a 1981 or later Econoline with the same D6TF-10C956-BA marking on the printed circut.
The redesigned plastic materials of the cluster backs of the 1981 and newer econolines do not suffer from cluster rot syndrome. Those cluster backs are marked with a E1UF-10848-AA prefix on the plastic for guages. Those "E1" cluster backs are interchangeable all the way back to 1975/6, if you swap printed circuts to match the original. |
the two I purchased online did not match the light socket pattern for my cluster. the cluster i recently found does not have a rotten back. and i'm not sure my ammeter works but at least it sits in the middle an pulls to the right as I accelerate. the other gauges never move at all

With Gauges: I want to check to see if it's for a 1976-1979, or for a 1973-1974, or 1975. The printed circut boards won't interchange before 1976, and the cluster backs wont interchange before 1975. Warning lamps are not interchangeable with gauges, and have their own year differences as well. |
