Crown Vic front clip on a 4wd frame?

Is it possible? Don't know how different the 2wd/4wd frames are, but I've sold my Lightning and am thinking about building our '64 F-100 4x4 to replace it. I have a 308 small block, GT-40P heads, explorer intake and such laying around, thinking about maybe doing the crown vic swap to the front, move the rear axle and 4-link it, find a 2wd long bed, mustang t-5 etc. and build a cruiser. Just wondering if it's possible at this point. Crown vics use the same bolt pattern as a mustang don't they? I have a set of 2003 cobra wheels sitting around... }>

I'm very sure that it's possible, but 64 4x4s aren't exactly common. I would find a 2wd instead. I would trade you a 2wd 70 F-250 and a complete 96 Crown Vic PI for that 4x4.
