That rusty bumper...

So i have had my 2011 6.2L for a year and a few months. Love it so far. have not towed a thing as yet (plans to get a car hauler stalled over the winter, so did work on the car lol). But i have noticed that the front bumper likes to get rust stains around the openings. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Ive talked to the dealership close to workplace (not the one i bought from who has now changed owners). And i was told that it is normal.. and that they can clean it up but thats all that ford will let them do. I left thinking thats dumb.. but whatever. im pretty sure i'll just start dropping in every other week and have them clean it up. pretty close to work so not an issue to leave it and walk to work.

anyways. anyone else have a bumper experience like this?

Yup, same here... This is why I'm done with chrome, it's nothing but a hassle and mfr's are terrible at plating. After my leveling kit/tires get put on, blacking out the bumpers and grille will be my next project.

Guess i'll have to take it to them monthly to get it cleaned up. well at least till warranty is done. lol.

You have a couple of options....1) paint them with a clear urathane or 2) have them powdercoated in clear...either way it will make maintenance a breeze

maybe I should change my signature to say "I like Stainless Steel" :-X04
I haven't really noticed any rust show up on my truck yet, but I'm also down here in the south.
