Hey all, just stopped by to ask the diesel truck guys a question about my truck.. thought I would post it here as well and say hi since I haven't been around much lately. I am still getting used to the new job and living at the coast. Someday life will slow down and I will visit more.

Any of you guys know how to get the clutch master cylinder push rod off the master cylinder?
Mine needs a little machine work and must be removed ;)

And a hello back, understand that life can get in the way of a lot of things. Living on the coast is a hole other thing especially in the summer ( if we get one ) with tourist and all the brain dead vacationers.

Hi Ed. Been on a trip and I'm still catching up on all the posts since I took off. Good to hear you are still here.

My PSD is an automatic so I'm not sure any of the following applies.
If it is anything like the 460 F250 I had you have to start under the dash. There is a plate there over the top of the pedals, and the pedal rod connects to the cylander rod on the left (laying on your back looking up). Check this "pedal plate" as I had two of them crack on me. Have to pull a speed nut off of the end where the rod from the pedal connects to the rod from the cylander. From there, IIRC, we pulled the clutch master cylander from the firewall and everything just kind of pulled apart from there. At the suggestion of a fleet mechanic, we welded a small metal plate on the firewall to make it more rigid and the mounted the cylander back on top of this plate. Made things more firm and I had fewer clutch problems after that and no more cracked plates.

Anyway, if any of this sounds or looks familiar, I may still have some instructions or pics from a book around here someplace that I'll try and find for you.
