67 Econoline Cooling question
will the stock radiator in a 240ci van be enough to cool a 300ci?
I'm probably going to wind up buying a new radiator considering the stock one has been sitting since 1986 and who knows if the coolant had ever been changed in the entire life of the van.. also, i've noticed Offenhauser makes two intakes for the 240/300 block. any preference for which one? i plan on having the stock 240 block internals swapped out with 300 internals and keep the 240 cyl head for a bit higher compression. any suggestions for radiators? or intake manifolds? |
spose since they're the same block, a replacement OEM radiator will work fine.
possibly an aluminum one to save weight |
May I suggest calling US Radiator......they have been around for 40+ years and will answer any question you have and address any possible concern. I don’t know of anyone (including the racing community) who has not been pleased with them!
