57 F100 Decode
I have a 57 F100 and the door code is 110 r 22 g f 01. Can someone please let me know what this means. I am trying to verify if it is original or not and cant find info anywhere. Thanks

That series of numbers doesn't make much sense.

Take another look. Should read F10...etc...
|
Better yet post a picture. My head wraps around pictures better than words, or numbers for that matter.
|
That is the number. Is it possible that Ford messed up when making the data tag and it should read F10 R 22G 1 01?
|
That looks like the second line of a serial plate. First line would be serial number
The second line sequence is. Wheel base =110 color =r=? According to Earls world1948-1960 FORD TRUCK COLORS, NAMES, AND CODESThis may be red model = if we assume this is missing or removed Date=22g= 22nd July 1957 Transmission=T98-a 4speed axle=3.70 ratio This is info from the ford parts catalog. Our resident expert is Bill AKA Numbersdummy who has much more experience, and has probably forgot more about ford vehicles than most will know. If he sees this thread he may shed a little more light on it. He is probably attending the F100 western nationals this weekend. Good luck in your quest! |
Thanks for the info.

How rare is a 57 F100 with a 272 4 Speed? Does anyone know the value?
|
That is not an easy question. Condition of course impacts value. Look around for trucks in similar condition as yours and see what they sell for.

I have a 57 F100 and the 2nd line of the Rating Plate reads: W.B. 110 / Color R / Date 22G / Trans F / Axle 01
R = Vermillion Red. 22G = Assembled July 22, 1957. F = Borg Warner T-98 4 Speed Manual Transmission. 01 = Ford 9" Rear Axle / 3.70-1 / 3,300 lb. Rear Axle Capacity. Look on the Rating Plate for the VIN, the same number will be on the registration/title. |
