Climate Control from the Factory Nav/Touchscreen
All,
My 2010 F-150 King Ranch came with the factory nav - from that screen I could control all of the usual things but also had complete control over all of the climate functions right from the screen. I purchased my wife a 2012 Expedition King Ranch back in January, also with the factory nav, and noted that it does not include the ability to control climate from the screen, but figured it was just a difference between the F-150 and the Expedition. So I traded-in my 2010 F-150 for my 2012 F250 SD KR, however it didn't come with the factory nav; I'm in the process (long process) of adding the factory nav in now and I'm noting that this new factory nav unit does not have climate control built-in - is that a change across the board? If so, any idea why Ford did away with climate control from the screen? DD |
The SD's never had climate control on the screen. The 2013's are getting MyTouch, which has the on screen climate controls. There's a good overview video in the link below.

I know, same here. I wasn't a fan of the dash until I saw that the top part opens up and there's an A/V port, 2 USB ports, a flash card drive (I think), and room for storage.
Not a fan of the rest of the platinum package though. :-X22 |
