Good for you. I remember being very excited at times like this. Whenever you are waiting to hear from someone it always stressful. Just remember, don't let life stop at the parts counter though. You will be amazed where you are at in 10 years. Any person who understands the importance of working hard, no matter at what job, will be very successful. Just remember, at any retail customer service establishment, the customer is the most important. If there was no customer to come in and buy your parts, then you would not have a job.
You will also not believe how many people value something as simple as remembering their name the next time they come in.
Good luck with your application, and if it does not work out, there are always bigger and better things. When I was younger I filled out a few applications for a couple of parts stores, but was "too young". Later on I actually was hired by an auto shop, and worked my way up to an ASE Master technician. Needless to say I could easily land a job at any parts store then. However I had far surpassed the level of a parts store clerk at that point.
So if things dont go your way, its probably because you are meant for something better.
