has anyone had this problem

i have a 2006 f250 6.0L with about 170,000 miles on it. this is my work truck and have had it since new, it has always been serviced well, never neglected. for about the last 20,000 miles i have been experiencing an occasional engine miss, at least i think its a miss. it happens most often if truck has been running somewhat hard and i come up to a stop light or stop sign, as i come to a stop, vehicle will shake ( like it has a racing cam in it ). cant tell if its an actual miss or something else. if i hold down brakes and gradually apply some throttle for a few seconds it seems to come out of it. sometimes, if i just wait it seems to come out of it on its own. no check engine lights or anything on dash to indicate a problem. also i tried running a diesel fuel treatment through system for aprx. 10,000 miles, did not change a thing. anybody have an idea ?

It might be a sticky injector.
If you suspect the same I'd try a product called Rev-X, it really will help with injector stiction issues. Also running synthetic oil helps.

I run 5w-40 and have no problems , also ran some rev-x @last oil change for the hell of it, maybe you can run some mistery oil just before your next oil change since it's a detergent , see what some of the other people think.

injector issues or voltage issues.

RealTree... have the codes read - AZ does it for free. Just because you don't have a check engine light doesn't mean it hasn't set codes.

thanks, it does makes for a great deer deflector. Or if anyone wants to play bumper cars :p. Seriously, if it had a receiver, it would be perfect.

In addition to the above, I would (after charging and load testing the batteries) check the FICM voltage at KOEO, cranking and at 2000 rpm.
