good morning everyone and welcome to june! last night we got a call from our very good friend and she had her baby boy last evening at 4-40 he weighs 5lbs and 3oz he was 2 weeks early, but he is a very happy and healthy baby boy!

THANKS Dennis...yes it is my birthday today... Not a lot of plans actually... I'll be waking Zoe up here in a few minutes as she has a Red Cross babysitting class all day today...so I'll drive her to that. Other than that...I think I'll enjoy a few barley pops and just kick back and see what 47 feels like!...LOL I'll be flying to SoCal tomorrow as well...and will be gone until Thursday.... Well I survived my birthday yesterday...it was a very nice quiet day for me. I enjoyed a couple of beers, a nice cigar, a very nice dinner at home with all of my ladies and then Tracey and I got to watch the last 2 episodes of the Hatfields and McCoys that we had DVR'd...and I enjoyed a nice Woodford Reserve with 2 rocks (I hate watered down bourbon)...all in all it was a great 47th birthday for me! THANK YOU to everyone for the birthday wishes yesterday! I'll be getting on a plane in a few hours headed back to SoCal...it has been a few weeks since I have been out there...but it's all good...I just got myself checked in for my flights and just screwing off on FTE...gonna go read the Sunday paper and then get my final stuff packed up... Have a great Sunday everyone...I'll try and check in from the leftist coast... Joe. |
I had a good day yesterday doing what I do.
I spent 7 hours on a run to Gulf Shores Alabama to bring back a Lexus to my town. My daughter rode along with me. It was the most time that we've spent together, just her and me, in one stretch, in years. She has a much better understanding of the craziness and crazy people I deal with now. All in all it was a wonderful day that I'll treasure forever. |

I know what you mean about not getting to spend the time we want to with our kids... Thankfully I have deer hunting as a bond time with my youngest daughter...we just started doing that last year...that time is priceless! When we travel as a family on our long RV trips (we'll be taking another this coming July)...that is good family time too...but they typically have their heads buried in their Ipod or Kindle or whatever and I'm hauling 9000#'s of travel trailer down the road!... We still have some great memories as a family we've made while traveling to 40 of our beautiful states! Glad you got to do that with your daughter...I'm sure she enjoyed spending time with dad too! Thanks for sharing buddy! joe. |

Did you guys see how Kurt Busch yet again went off on a reporter...will that guy ever get it?...geez...he's already lost a premier ride and yet he's still mouthing off...I mean most of the others at least "get it"...look at Tony Stewart...he learned real quick how to play the game...that Kurt Busch though may be dumber than a box of rocks...just sayin'... |

CUP: NASCAR Examining Kurt Busch
NASCAR is examining driver Kurt Busch’s latest controversial incident, and a decision on possible penalties is expected in the next few days. After an on-track encounter with driver Justin Allgaier and a tense post-race discussion with Allgaier following Saturday’s Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway, Busch cursed a Sporting News reporter during an interview. Busch, who is on NASCAR probation as a result of actions last month at Darlington Raceway, was asked if the probation impacted how he raced Saturday. “It refrains me from beating the s--- out of you right now because you ask me stupid questions,” Busch said. “But since I’m on probation, I suppose that’s improper to say, as well.” Busch was fined $50,000 last year for a profanity-laced confrontation with television reporter Jerry Punch, among other problems, at the season finale at Homestead, FL. “We are collecting all the facts and details to assist us in making a correct and fair decision,” about Busch’s Saturday encounter, NASCAR director of communications Kristi King said Sunday. After the Homestead incident, NASCAR said it fined Busch, in part, because he “showed disrespect toward a media member, an incident that followed similar inappropriate media confrontations earlier in the season." Busch drove his brother Kyle’s car in Saturday’s race, finishing fourth. Allgaier was fifth. Their cars touched early in the race, contact that sent Allgaier up the track but didn’t produce a crash. Busch said later that the contact was simply a part of racing and that Allgaier shouldn’t have been upset about it. Busch, who drives for the James Finch-owned Phoenix Racing team in the Sprint Cup Series, is scheduled to start ninth in Sunday’s FedEx 400 Benefiting Autism Speaks at Dover.
