Transmission identification - help needed

After some more work on my 59 F100 that became a 4x4 sometime during its life we need some help doing an ID of the transmission. From the factory it came with the 3 speed with overdrive but in the swap to a 4WD I am not sure what else was changed.

We just pulled the engine apart and other than one rod it is in great condition. A couple minor details to figure out then I can decide what to do with the truck.

Lots of folks looking at your post but no responses. Casting numbers don'y really give you much of a clue. Were there any other part numbers on it or faded out painted numbers under all the crud?

We are checking for more numbers. It is a 3 speed, the truck originally had a 3 spd w/overdrive but I am trying to run down more of what the POs may have done.

When the 4WD parts were swapped in, they probably removed the 3 speed with overdrive and used the 3 speed (short version) that was usually used with the 4WD setup. This assumes that you have the column shift. I have only seen two transmissions used on the early F100 4WD trucks - the short 3 speed with a column shift and the 4 speed Warner.
