Wheel Stud Size Changable?

My 1985 F350 has the factory 10 1/4 steerling with 9/16 studs. The front is sporting a 1979 F250 Dana 44 HD, the rotors have 1/2" studs. I guess my question is, are all openings for the studs the same? so the size of the stud can be swapped? I've looked for front rotors with 9/16 stubs but didn't have much luck. I don't care which size is used on my truck, I just want all them to match.

AFAIK yes, the hole sizes are all the same. AFAIK but YMMV.

;)

Seriously... I had to replace some studs on my '81 F350 once, don't remember if front or rear, but I went to the auto parts store where they pulled out one of those multi-compartment organizer boxes that had all kinds of different size studs in it. It looked like they all had the same base size, the differences being in the thread size & length.

Call up a parts store and see what they have....
