WVO tank
Do any of you guys see any reason why I wouldn't be able to use the original tank on my truck as the WVO tank, and use a smaller (5 gal.) plastic one for my diesel start up?

The wvo will either eat the liner out of your factory tank, or it will react with the steel. Go with aluminum.

I have a 99 with the plastic tank

You should be good to go then with the plastic tank.
The front tank on mine is plastic, but I don't drive long enough on my way to work, figured a smaller tank would heat faster, so I had to go that route. |
Cool, now time to fab up some mounts for the startup tank. Well it stays hot enough down here in the summer for me not to worry to much about a heated tank for a few months.
Thanks for the replies |

Thanks for the replies I also recommend TIH fuel lines and either a loop of TIH after fuel press regulator or a FPHE for heat. Shoot for at least 150* before the engine. You aren't gonna share fuel pump or filter with diesel right? :-X15 |
Thanks Jason, I actually just got in my pump in from WVO Designs
and will filter it through a Vormax that I picked up used for cheap. Hopefully I will be able to get everything mounted and plumbed in the next few weeks. |
