Gonna try for my two-wheeler license
I decided to enroll in a rider's safety course the end of next month at the Harley dealership. I've kicked around the idea of getting a motorcycle for a while, but couldn't decide what I wanted. I was looking at Yamaha's FZ8, but the dealership wasn't all that friendly or willing to answer my questions. Dad mentioned Triumph, and I forgot they were still making new bikes. Was looking at their cruisers and came across this beauty.

It sounds awesome and the guys at the local dealership were extremely nice and answered all my questions. I plan on taking the course, then getting my license. I spoke with the wellness coach at work today to try to set up a weight loss program. Turns out sitting on my butt 8 hours a day for over 10 years will cause me to gain alot of weight. Who knew? I'm setting the goal at 50 pounds and am using the new motorcycle as an incentive to follow through with the plan. I've done this before and managed to drop about 20 pounds, but I would usually get burned out and lose focus after that. With the help of the coach, and the motorcycle as incentive, I'm sure I'll be able to hit my goal. |
Its a great looking bike, I like the looks of it, minus the headlights. but everything else is very nice!
Looks like fun! |
And the new wellness coach is "smoken hot".:-X22

Great goal and a nice bike.

Cool -- Funny thing you get a liscense to drive 4 wheels-- but you get another to drive 2 wheels or 6+ wheels-- shouldn't they be progressive? First 2 wheels then 4 wheels and so on!
Great job on the incentive thing! Hope it works out 4 U. |
Thanks alot guys. I'm looking forward to it. Obviously it's not going to be a super quick process losing that much weight. It'll also give me plenty of time to save up some money and get some safety gear. I'm back and forth on the headlights. I'm starting to like them, but I really like the earlier models with round headlights. May look into that to see if they swap over.

First day/night of the safety course done. Unfortunately we don't start riding til Saturday. So far I've lost right at 10 pounds, and found even more motorcycles I like.

Nice work!! Enjoy!! Motorcycles are fun, and a great way to meet women!

Almost done with the class. A few more maneuvers, then the riding and written tests. I'm confident in my abilities and look forward to tomorrow.

Sweet! Good Luck!!!
|
Thanks!. Passed both tests and got my certificate. Approximately 2 weeks til they get the form back, then I get to go to the dmv to get my actual license.
