2011 F350 Tires

My uncle has a f350 and was wondering what the biggest size tire he could put on with stock height. He has 20 inch rims.

35/12.50/20 is as big as I would go. gotta leave room for it to move around.

Need a leveling kit to do most anything. Stockers on 20s are already 34.5, just a bit narrow.

Having been down this path to the point of ordering.

37" is a problem. Need to be down around a 12.5 to be safe and there's virtually no 37x12.5x20 All Terrain tires except the Dune Grappler which sux for any kind of mud. The few other 37"s ATs out there are 13.5wide. There are a few choices in mud tires.

35"s with a leveling kit are pretty wide open w/ minor trimming. Do not need to stick with the 12.5s, 13.5s and 14s are ok.

I right at the credit card point of choosing a 22x10 +10offset and the 325 50 22 Nitto Terra with the Icon 2.5 leveling kit.

I tore chunks out of my OE Michilins and went straight to BFG, but one more size up. I have ran the 285/60/20 (or is it the 285/65/20) for about 28,000 miles. I just went today at lunch and ordered the NITTO Terra Grapplers in the 295/60/20. They are 34.45" tall and 12.36" wide so basically a 35x12.50 and they will fit without any mods.

I do have the 2" front leveling parts in route to me now, just to make it have a better stance overall. That and my evil counter-conscience wants my headlights to be higher than they are now. I hate the way they have made the new style with blinkers on top.

TrickTruck 04-27-2012 02:10 PM

3000 miles on the truck now and the tires are badly chopped. These won't make 10,000.

I took mine back to Ford and made them replace them under warranty. They complained but I had the recall notice or TSB for "tires chunking" or something like that. I bought a new set of BFG's and sold my old tires to a guy with an Avalanche on CL.

If you search tires chunking or Michelin tire problems hear on FTE you can find the thread.

Monday I get my Toyo Open Country's 285-75/R18 = 34.8" tires on my F250 (with the Bilstein leveling kit).
I was told this should fit no problem.
Toyo calls these a 35 x 11.50 x 18 tire.

Mine has 325/60R20 Hankook Dynapro ATM with no lift. They fit good and haven't rubbed on anything that I've noticed.

I've got level lift with 295/65r20's nitro trail grapplers. I have 8000 Kms and they wear quick. Large chunks missing already, won't be buying those again!

I think this is the first time this question has been asked. 48's are the smallest I would go.

Somebody made a typo on those specs. I see the 12.36" wide on their website, but that is the width of a 315 tire not a 295. The 325 is only 12.91 wide. A 295 is only going to be 11.6-11.75 wide at best. If you are looking to match a 35 x 12.50 x 20, your best match is going to be a 315/60/20.

How wide are your wheels compared to the stock 20's?

These wheels were on the truck when I bought it. They are Mayhem brand, and my best guess with a measure tape is 10" wide. Actually I looked up the wheels and they are possibly only 9" wide.
