I am thinking that there was something different in those hoses between the '96 I drive and the '95 I parted out. Maybe it was just the location of the T? I can't remember now, but I know that there was something different about either the heater hoses or the radiator hoses and their routing. I would have to pull them out of the loft and look at them again to see what the difference was.

If it was an early build with the early style radiator, they had different radiator hose routing IIRC. I know for a fact that the upper hose is different on the early models. Not sure about the heater hoses on the early model

I just looked at my heater hoses. Mine does not have a Tee in it. It just runs straight down to the head. I guess the early models didn't have it.

I don't know if this matters or not but when I ordered a new coolant overflow bottle partsguyed asked me if mine had one or two hose connections?

The '95 I parted out had the same style radiator as in my truck (except it was a manual core and not the auto core) and had the degas bottle with the cap on it, instead of having the cap on the radiator like the early build (94.5) trucks did. I am almost sure that the heater hose had no tee in it and the hoses just went straight from the heater core to the water pump and head respectively. It seems to me like I thought about using one of the hoses out of the 95 on my truck then realized that I would have to change several hoses since there was nowhere to connect the hose from the tee in the heater hose. I believe both the heater hose and the lower radiator hose were different.
Again, I would have to look at them again to be sure what the difference was, but I know there was a difference. I will try to remember to take a look at them tonight and snap a couple pictures. |

Looks just like mine. I'm having a heck of time finding a 5/8" x 1/2" x 5/8" tee to replace the OEM one if need be. Could make up something if push comes to shove I guess. Not sure if anyone makes that hose anymore. Ford said no.

I just ordered one, and the company is pretty dang good. Refunded me on my shipping cost since they found a cheaper route, and didn't even have to ask.
