oil filter gaskets

Hi, I'm knew as you all know. I have a 1960 f100 with a 292. i have a oil leak at the oil filter. It still has the cannister type. I am looking for the paper gasket that mates the block and the plate together and I also need the rubber gasket that seals the cannister to the plate. Any help is appreciated
Thanks Mike

No such gasket shown or listed in Ford parts catalogs.

I also need the rubber gasket that seals the cannister to the plate.

Welcome to FTE

Why mess (in more ways than one) with the old by-pass cannister oil filter when you can install a gen-u-ine Ford full flow Spin-On oil filter using its adapter kit instead?

While this kit was introduced in 1957, it was an option on some 1957/64's. I just looked this same puppy up for a member of the 1961/66 forum.

B7A-6882-A .. Spin-On Oil Filter Adapter Kit - Use with Motorcraft FL-1A Oil Filter (most common oil filter used 1957/96) / Obsolete / 1,537 (!!) available NOS.

Some sources that have the kit =

The LINCOLN-MERCURY OLD PARTS STORE in Clearwater FL has 5 = 727-445-7551.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 8 = 800-543-4959.

PARTS INTERNATIONAL in Farmers Branch TX has 10 = 888-77-0418.

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 1,475 (!) = 800-476-9653.

I like how Bill thinks.... In the very short time I ran the 223 with a canister, I had 2 leaks at the gasket. Spin on? Never

Thank you for the response, I was told that there is a impregnated paper ring or gasket that goes between the block and the oil filter plate. I will go with the adapter kit.thank you very much

Interesting. Do you have any info as to what truck models, engines, etc. received this option from the factory when ordered?

In my earlier post here, I must have fallen asleep while typing.... The 'never' was meant to preceed (never) 'knew that was an option' :-X17.

I haven't a clue and since all the records thru 1966 were thrown away decades ago, FoMoCo hasn't a clue either.
