I know the states not too big, but I know these trucks are also hard to come by clean! I'm looking for one of these trucks in average shape at minimum. If there's actually any active members here who've seen one for sale, please let me know! My Centurion will be coming off the road some time for a Fummins build, and I'll need something to drive while its down!

Not real picky on cab configuration, just must be 4WD. Prefer a CCLB, but wont be picky! Engine doesn't really matter as I'll probably be dropping my spare 7.3/ZF5 into it eventually anyway.

I dont care what it needs for mechanical work, as long as the body isn't a rotted disaster. Hell, I'll buy something without a drivetrain if its clean!

Would also consider a 92-96 Bronco. Again, body must be in good condition.

If anyone knows of anything please email me at tyler886@ hotmail.com Im not on here too often!

Actually picked a truck up in Western MA last Thursday. '97 F250HD with a Powerstroke and ZF5. ECSB truck with a Western Plow.

Truck has couple year old injectors and IDM. 4 new ball joints, pads, rotors, calipers, and fuel pump within a couple months. Got it for next to nothing since it needs a clutch and 4 tires! Thanks for the heads up anyways guys!

Nice find. Got any more pictures of your centurion? You said your going to put a Cummins into it, what else

tyler886 05-03-2012 07:07 AM

Not many more pictures, just a few of the axles being rebuilt. It began life as a 1/2 ton truck, that was converted to 1 ton with a KP D60 and Sterling rear with fresh rebuilds. It'll get the 12V thats been sitting on the engine stand in my shop for a year, and probably a ZF5. Turbos all depend on what I find for sale used at a good price first! The longblock is already assembled with headstuds, 4K GSKs, 60lb springs, fresh head job, and all regasketed. Id love to go automatic, just trying to talk myself into spending the extra money for it!

So the maroon looking stretched 4 door bronco is on a half ton frame? Must have been a fair amount of work to get the axles mounted. Would like to see more pictures. Cool project

Yup, frame is a 139" WB 1/2 ton frame. I streteched the WB a couple inches to have the axle sit where I wanted it to in the front fenderwell. Thankfully 1/2-1ton trucks all have the same widths. I used a SKY Manufacturing RSK kit for the from spring hanger with stock OBS rear hangers and lots of measuring, drilling, swearing, and beer drinking. Next time I have it in my shop I'll take a couple pics of how it was hung for a 1/2 ton application. Still have to put high steer on it as my drag link to tie rod gap is about the size of a hair.

But it is a centurion 4 door bronco? I thought those were built on 3/4 ton frames

tyler886 05-04-2012 07:59 PM

It is an original Centurion 4 door Bronco, they were built on 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton versions.
