That does look like an awesome find. It's almost exactly what I'd want except for the hood and light covers. SWEET!

Jlynch2011 04-16-2012 07:14 PM

Wow this thing is less than 30 mins from my house

V10man 04-16-2012 07:43 PM

Why is there no title on it? I'd make them get that first.

Yup. without that it is a OVERPRICED parts truck

Bob Gervais 04-16-2012 09:14 PM

It may have previously been a RI truck. RI doesn't require or issue titles for a vehicle older than '01. Happens a lot around here, person from MA buys a RI vehicle, never registers it, then tries to sell it.

I've sold older vehicles to people that live in states that require a title, and have had to include a letter from the RI DMV stating that RI doesn't issue titles for older vehicles, so the registration is proof of ownership. Never had a problem.

Still, with no title, that's a pretty high asking price. It's in good shape, but I definitely wouldn't classify it as a "barn find".

Ad says it is a ONE OWNER truck

Bob Gervais 04-17-2012 04:54 AM

Right. My guess is the one owner was RI based, then this guy bought it, never registered it, and is trying to resell.

Reading comprehension > you.

That would make it a TWO owner truck. NOT a ONE owner

depends whether you are talking actually owners or registered owners. would you consider a dealership an owner of a car? cars pass from dealership to dealership and never get registered as an owner. my truck has had four owners but if you look it up it has only had three REGISTERED owners. if the man bought it to resell it and never drove it IMO it is a one owner truck.

It most likley was an RI truck because the location of were it is now isnt far from RI
