Hard Leaned Lesson !

Tried to post in the WTB but the site would not let me ?
Anyways I want to buy a 1959 F100, I had a short bed with a 223 I6 & 3spd. it was all stock but the wheels and tires. I drove it as a daily driver all winter (except when it snowed, and that was not often this year) got over 15 MPG, stayed off the freeways and under 55mph, which actually did me some good mentally (I live a much too fast paced lifestyle) no radio either ! The cab was kinda rotten, the Wife HATED it, and it warmed up enough to get out the Harley so when some kid offered me more $$$ than I had into it, I SOLD IT...
Now it got cold again and I'm "stuck" driving my '04 F350 4x4 four door Diesel (never satisfied are we)
I'm in Michigan over by Port Huron, looking in the $1500 range, don't need or want a "show" truck, just a "truck" I will consider other body's with a manual tran.s that run, the Dog doesn't care what year but I'd really like another '59.
So...if anyone has one they can do without please give me a shout, it will be well cared for.

You might have to go to the South or SouthWest to get something drivable for that kind of money.

Go beat the kid up and get your truck back, you're a Harley dude! :-X04 LOL!

Ha Ha

I like the way you guys think, but to old for such shenanigans...
(Not really old, but old enough to know THAT would not get me far.)

There is one of the Lesson Learned "You might have to go to the South or SouthWest to get something drivable for that kind of money." I had $1500 into this truck, the cab was kinda rotten, well floor and cab corners were pretty much gone, patched, welded, bondoed, spray foamed or tared but she ran great, motor, tran.s/clutch hell even the heat worked. and I sold it for minimal profit...but now have nothing cool to drive ! which brings me to the other "Lesson Learned"

Next time I'll ask the "Wife" what color to paint the living room...and the "Dog" if I should get rid of the ol' truck !

Still looking/hoping fer an old truck

PS. I know with enough money you can get anything you want ! There is a '59 just like the one I had only in pristine condition on another web site for $10,000 but hell i wouldn't want to drive that one everyday to & from work on the roads here in Michigan
